If everyone is paying less in prop taxes, I wonder what will happen to our already BS government budgets? SD city budget in the red by millions. CA state budget in the red by billions. Federal Gov in the red (due to Bailouts) in the red by Trillions. And now people are gonna reduce the one tax that really isnt suppose to fall much! Just imagine if the city/state started collecting 20% less property taxes. We cant cut libaries or parks with the deficits we already have, what happens when those deficits get even worse?

I wonder if people would ever allow schools to be cut? They are a majority of the budget. Doubt it. We’ll just sell out the children by selling some more bonds and making them pay it back.
