[quote=Omega Point]I am also amazed that the CNN report didn’t even question how she lost her money in her business. I’m 99% certain that she bought foreclosed properties with the money, tried to flip them, and got burned. Instead, it seems the intent of the CNN piece is to make us feel sorry for her and many other Americans like her who are being foreclosed upon.
Expect similar stories in the future, especially if we “spread the wealth” around in the near future. Those who receive the “wealth” will soon say it isn’t enough, they are still victims of society. Gaming the system has become the American pastime. We, who don’t game the system, are now just slaves… uh, I mean schmucks.

I’m not… It’s “journalismarketing”….Stories/headlines that appeal to the prevalent direction the wind is blowing…
Which headline will sell better in the current environment?
“Lady Loses $300k from Heloced Loan , Blames Bank for Losses and Wants Her Loan Forgiven”
OR
“Lady Chains Self to Home to Fight Unfair Foreclosure and Corruption”
Remember, it’s the “Greedy, corrupt businesses” that got her into this mess, and has nothing to do with personal accountability.
Unrelated note: Congrats piggington members who are fiscally responsible. You will be a minority over the next few years. You will now experience what so many ethnic minorities have experienced, when the prevailing social policies and practices will be constructed to benefit the majority, and because of your views/economic standpoint will be under-represented, those social policies made will now indirectly discriminate/hinder your abilities to reach your goals. Despite the inequities that you have previously experienced, you decided to have your dollars economically work harder. You did want so few people did, saved your hard earned dollars, made sacrifices, because someday, you wanted to be able to live in that purchased home…Only now, the rules have changed, and the majority throws another roadblock at you, because you were different. Life is a unfair, deal with it. So many of us already have.
