I have a question for everybody: This past week, videos of these racist right-wing supporters of McCain-Palin have been recorded and broadcast to the Arab world over Al-Jazeera, as well as all over the Internet.
The anti-Arab racism alienates Arab moderates, not to mention Arab-Americans. It is unequivocally damaging to our foreign policy interests and undermines our efforts during a time of war, nation-building in Iraq, strategic initiatives elsewhere in the Middle East.
Now, it wouldn’t be such a big deal if it occurred at fringe KKK meetings, but these are campaign rallies for the GOP candidate for President of the United States. Absolutely, McCain and Palin bear full responsibility for the direction their campaign has taken in recent weeks, which is racist and dishonorable.
