This reminds me of what made us decide to buy our first place about 20 yrs ago.

We were living in MM and the landlord announced the apt rent was going from $700 to 900, or something nuts like that. That was it, we went out home shopping and bought a condo within a month. That was the best decision we ever made (aside from having our kids :)) and it helped boot-strap us into our current home.

Thank you, landlord, for so clearly showing us the right direction!

ps – they ended up canceling the rent increase due to a renters revolt like you wouldn’t believe.
