.side note…you might not like what bush and some GOP for what they did in the past 8 years, but a few GOP right now are the last thing standing between that $700billion bailout and your taxbill, not necessarily because they are objecting to the bailout for all the right reasons. But in this particular case, bipartisan disagreement leading to no action would be a good thing.

Isn’t it evident that we need check and balances in our government such that they can be disempowered to do anything meaningful? A Bush+Rep Congress was a terrible thing, you think a Obama+Demo Congress will be any better. Who are screaming the loudest on providing bailouts to homeowners right now?

My vote, throw them all out and start over, except Ron Paul.
