SDR – Have there actually been closings whereby buyers have sold their homes for $ 100,000 less than they paid a year ago and is it a cash/equity loss (as opposed to a 100% financed deal where they are letting the lender take the hit)?

And are these desperation sellers? What would motivate them to take a $ 100,000 loss? I find that incredible.
