An hour? Are you talking about time with extreme traffic? In the morning, most of the traffic is between 78 and Via Rancho Parkway. Based on Google map going 65mph on the freeway and have no traffic, it’s ~25 miles and ~30 minutes. I think that’s a pretty decent sacrifice for a much better house and much better school. All this assumes that you don’t work in the area. If you work in Sorrento Valley, the commute isn’t too bad.
