If you go tankless make sure your gas piping can handle the tempory higher demands for BTU’s that system needs. I am not an expert at this but I am aware of the issue. I don’t think many piggs would do it but don’t let a non-specialist install it(tankless). The venting is different. I think it is because of the chemisty of the exhaust.
