While we don’t know how the entire thing works (yet), if such paranormal activities were possible, I think we’d see FAR better evidence than currently exists for them (which consists almost entirely of testimonials by folks – like Dr. Mitchell – who have a history of being credulous, and which cannot be reproduced under any sort of controlled conditions).
Uri Geller is a magician, no different from David Copperfield, except that Uri keeps his persona on at all times, whereas offstage, Copperfield acknowledges he’s doing tricks. Uri has had his act blown several times by skeptics (including famously by Johnny Carson). However, the credulity of his audience allows him to continue to rake in the bucks.
