The book I read that in is Ronald Reagan Fate, Freedom, and the Making of History by John Patrick Diggins. I learned more about him in this book than all the others combined. It is very well written and researched. Reagan is not what the media made of him. He had a lot of layers, but above all he believed in the goodness of people.
