Some activists are on trial in St. G for rescuing 2 dying piglets from Smithfield “food”. The judge won’t allow video of the crime at trial because it’s too ” emotional”. Haha. True enough. It’s so fucking horrifying the jurors might understand the actual situation.
Reality must never be allowed to intrude on how we live our lives.
this video is terrifying. No one would eat this “food” if they had to watch the video over bacon and eggs.
I’ve eaten many cows over a lifetime, but the thought of eating meat now makes me want to vomit. People change. I think anyone who fully faced reality would not want that meat.
I can’t help but wonder why Smithfield has pursued this case. I can understand that they are unhappy about people breaking onto a farm and stealing a couple of little piglets, but they are generating a lot of press for the animal rights people, which ultimately isn’t good for their product or brand. Have the execs at Smithfield thought this through, or they just reacting with a high and mighty attitude of “Punish them, Off with their heads!”
It would sure seem to me that just dropping charges would be a better route for Smithfield.

Last I check, rice is not green. I do eat some greens though because I know my body needs it, even if I want to throw up at every bite. That’s why we evolved to be omnivores.
Id be remiss if I didnt mention it will be warmer in SD today than St George. Today I will be enjoying the NLCS in person. Perhaps there is a rodeo or sheep shearing contest today in St George
Story that has fascinated me this week: four twenty-something men take off on their bicycles at 8 PM on Sunday apparently for a night of thievery. They never return home. That Friday their chopped-up bodies are found in a river south of town. A nearby junk yard owner disappears on the run. He was 9 years in to a 10 year postponement of a felony charge. Guess he’ll probably be back in the pokey soon.
Just another week in Okmulgee.
Moral of the story: a junkyard owner is meaner than four grown men.
