Was talking to one of my neighbors yesterday that owns a machine shop in town that makes custom parts for military/defense. He told me about this and they are making parts for them.

Have we entered the dronezone?
“suicide drone” sounds like a modern buzzword name for “guided missile”.
A missile goes one way and has nowhere near the navigation capabilities. A drone can fly in assess a situation and then redirect and complete its mission based up data collection. It’s next level effective

“In military terminology,[1] a missile is a guided airborne ranged weapon capable of self-propelled flight usually by a jet engine or rocket motor. Missiles are thus also called guided missiles or guided rockets (when in rocket form). Missiles have five system components: targeting, guidance system, flight system, engine and warhead.”

Modern missiles can also redirect after launch.
Missiles can’t loiter waiting and searching for a target, and come home if they don’t find one.
