My wife got a lot of elderberries and I make elderberry tea all day. She had bought them pre CV. Thoughtful.

It’s supposed to support immune function against colds and flu. Ancient remedy

I like weird berries but elderberries were a disappointment eating fresh.

On the plus side, they lasted months in the fridge without getting moldy.

The best one is red currants. Wow are they good. In France they are really cheap and common and that’s where I got into them. Here, I spend $30 a year buying a few small treys when they are in season, which is Dec-Jan.

What a coincidence. I have been binge-watching The Walking Dead. 28 minutes into episode 3 of season 4, Hershel is brewing elderberries tea to help his group fight off a mysterious flu-like sickness outbreak that’s been killing people left and right.
