LOVE the journeys of Mule (the Guy) and Little Girl (the mule)!
Saw them first weekend in February in O’side, in the lot by the shuttered Flying Bridge restaurant, so I had to look him up. Little Girl was rolling around on the ground just enjoying herself.
“It’s in the walking the energy that protects and guides us, that creates the questions and then the answers and everything else we need as we continue the endless journey of one human being walking in one of all four directions with his or her equine partner with respect and reverence and love of this Earth which the mules call home.”

Thought about getting a couple but probably glad I didn’t, long term commitment. Was going to use them for weed clearance like goats, but then figured like goats they would eat stuff I don’t want them to eat.

Very cool, but….
After I go horseback riding, I feel stinky. Need a shower. I don’t think I want to live with a mule.

https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/journey-with-a-baja-burro-graham-mackintosh/1102509428
actually the author (graham mackintosh) use to give various talks here in town about his different adventures down in baja,… actually was inspired so did my own little adventures down south in areas he wrote about,… found out the hard way that riding a mule down in baja where there narrow trails and cactus ever where its best to leather chaps
FWIW if you’re into equestrian riding one thing you should try is an Icelandic horse, which has 5 gaits
it was the literally the coolest/smoothest equestrian related ride I’ve ever had
