You’re not competing with a CD, you’re competing with the return on buying the property yourself and renting it out.
Seems like a lot of risk to take on a peer to peer loan.
If principal is absolute, then municipal bond or TIPs is probably the way to go.
Otherwise, a REIT (public or private) or crowdfunded Commercial RE seems like a better investment.
Hard to believe you can’t beat your current rate with substantial equity and a 10 year term.
Talked to mortgage brokers yet? I’d do that before looking at those fintech sites, which mostly seem to be fancy marketing for subprime loans.
