I went through Monti at San Diego Decks. Instead of the metal frames I went with plastic covers and trex rails, kinda like this:

Dang that looks nice… I probably don’t need something that fancy, since it’s tiny balcony…
But I’m trying to eliminate as much real wood as possible, to avoid future termite issues where I can.
I’m thinking trex flooring, and initially thought about a trex railing that looks more traditional…But I kinda like the glass railing, and thought why not…
I did not know trex makes a glass railing system Do you have more info on it? I couldn’t find it… It might not work for my tiny balcony because those columns look big, which might dwarf by tiny balcony.
Flu your first pic already looks very basic. Anything Trex will be expensive and very solid, it is a name brand.
I didn’t want real wood either since it’s a pain to maintain. Trex is a composite. While it looks wood’ish, there’s not mistaking it for wood. So I went with a nice grey color. It still looks great though.

I’d give Monti a call for details. I didn’t know too much about the product until he told me about it then I started researching it. I just wanted a composite with glass panels and that’s what he recommended.
Personally, if I were in the market, I would contact these guys:

Click on their Deck Options Guide and scroll down.
My neighbors had a huge custom deck designed and installed by these guys and it is just stunning. Highest quality you can imagine.
I may be late w/ this. I used these guys for a stainless cable fence on a deck. I DIY-ed it. They have a glass option also.
