Nowhere else in N San Diego, or anywhere in S Calf can you find this kind of property in this price range? Is Temecula out there in the boonies – Yes, if you had to commute to work would this area not be high on the list – Yes (and with gas going thru the roof), but realistically this is an area where the housing market will quickly equilibrate to a “reasonable” cost… more so than others due to the over-extension of buyers/lenders and the relatively newness of home construction. I would think a 1 M price tag is high for most but viewing the listings obviously S Calf buyers have been delusional for many years in home value expectations – reality is difficult to take in such blunt increments as a housing bubble burst. I would never try to predict a market but the trend indicates these types of homes will be under the 1 M range until a plateau is reached where the buying market comes back into play.
