Obama has the opportunity to be a Kennedy or a Carter. Unfortunately, he appears to be the latter. Kennedy lowered taxes and stimulated the economy. Carter brought us the misery index. Obama means well. Those Presidents in the past also meant well, but their failed projects: the war on poverty and public housing used state power for altruistic purposes and they had disastrous consequences. The war on poverty damaged two plus generations. Public housing created state owned slums.

I am no fan of McCain. I wanted Romney. I have to look at the fiscal bottom line for my family. I resent paying higher taxes for government programs that I do not support.

Obama needs to figure this out or suffer the consequences.
