It does seem to be the case that much of their compensation is not a direct cost to the state.
But I don’t believe that our state governments, and especially our educational system, should be in the entertainment business.
Yay for NY, AK, MA, NH, VT, DE, MT, and the Dakotas — people who are useful are paid the most. Not people responsible for teaching the overweight and steroid-addled how to play a children’s game.
