    The funny thing is, if you look at this area on Zillow, you see that 417 Sea Ridge drive just sold in May for 3.5 million. (I’m not sure if this is the affected property, or the one next door, but they both look questionable).

    If you look at the pre-exisiting aerial photos from Zillow and/or google maps, presumably taken at least several months ago, it looks like this was a disaster waiting to happen. Yikes!

    Living on the cliff’s above the ocean is nice but the ocean is going to take the land eventually.

    Putting a swimming pool into an unstable cliff is just asking for problems.

    And buying a house that has a swimming pool in an unstable cliff…well, not a lot of sympathy from me.

    Check out the LA Times link, it has a video of the two houses post collapse. The cliff has undermined the two swimming pools’ foundations at this point. Yep, there are a couple of people swimming in the pool on the right.
