I was in home depot the other day and there was a line forming to buy ant control stuff.
The shelves were nearly empty and the employees were handing customers ant control spray as they broke down the pallets.
I heard after being tented for termites ants come as they like to eat the dead termites.
Give them some goodies to bring back to the nest/queen. The Terro liquid bait (the one in a bottle) have worked really well and cost-effective. Don’t get the ones in a tray/station.
As a spray for small ant issues, a mixture of 1qt water, 1 teaspoon baking soda and 1 teaspoon dish soap works like crazy. They die in their tracks, and I don’t mind using it in the kitchen. It’s not a fix, but at least it can cut the problem down until you figure out where they are coming from.
they are kind fo impressive though.
terro works for us, in bait traps
I, too, live on an ant hill. After your Raid the inside of the house, try this:
Boric Acid (teaspoon)(Rite Aid) and Karo Syrup (pint). Warm it up to aid in going into solution.
Put in multiple small trays ( cut out bottom of red cup 😉 and place around the yard next to house.
Be patient, it works and you don’t have to worry about your pets.
