Your friends also need residency or they will pay out the wazoo. If they are going to pay the non-resident price, easier to pay for tee times from a broker usually charge about $30 or so.
Another alternative is to play at twilight (after 4PM or so), you can just walk on.
Yeah, if you’re a city resident, you pay $25/year for a “city card.” Then you get to play for resident rates which vary from $30-$80 depending on which course/day/time you play. Out-of-towners pay $60-$230.
