    Marijuana? Does anybody give a s…. about marijuana use? Don’t let your kids fall into these traps……..

    Great video, and very sad, too. I especially liked the interview with the retired cop; it was good to hear his perspective.

    Time to end the war on drugs and reverse the privatization of prisons.

    I vaguely know the mother of this kid and first heard about it from her a couple days after he was busted. The saddest, and most ridiculous part of this operation, is that it targeted a kid that was never part of the drug culture in the school. He wasn’t one of the kids that was getting high every day, or partying every weekend. He wasn’t even friends with anyone that was part of that scene. In fact, he wasn’t friends with anyone. At least until the undercover cop arrived on the scene.

    If I remember correctly, as it stands now, all charges have been dropped, and the parents still have a lawsuit pending against law enforcement and the school district.

    I’ve known about this story for some time. It makes my blood boil to think that people in power are doing these things in the name of safety.

    The cops, DAs, and school administrators behind this are a truly pathetic lot.

    And of course they are immune from any sort of accountability.

    Lawsuit against law enforcement? Great, so the taxpayers pick up the tab and Detectives Shit for Brains earn a few more years toward a pension while they are put on administrative leave.

    Cops encouraging criminal activity in our schools need to do time.

    They’re not doing this in the name of safety. They’re doing this to grub money from the innocent and justify their pathetic existences.

    Considering the victim here was disabled, doesn’t CA have laws against the exploitation of the mentally ill or disabled? Perhaps this could be prosecuted criminally given enough publicity and the cockroaches responsible be given a few years in San Quentin.

    Too much money at stake, on both sides of the equation, for that to happen.

    It’s gradually happening, at least with marijuana. Hopefully there will be another recession soon and gov’t will be even more starved. They’ll realize that paying for private prisons for non-violent offenders isn’t worth it.

    I got kicked off a jury panel for saying I wouldn’t respect laws against possession and use in Marijuana cases . That was about 25 years ago. If more and more people will do that …we have the power.

    Don’t forget this is the same police department who ran a DUI checkpoint @ 8AM on a Wed (work) morning.
