All recreational shops are raising prices like crazy due to shortages in supply. The recreational shops think that should level off many months from now so jump at your chance now and ride the wave.
Medicinal only shops are still running strong with their supply and not raising prices. The recreational markup is crazy and you can’t get the same stuff that medicinal patients can get.
January 9, 2014 at 7:59 AM #769627jeff303ParticipantBanking regulations still need to be updated so that legal pot businesses can open bank accounts and accept credit card payments. Until this happens, I think it might be too risky from an investment perspective.

January 9, 2014 at 12:29 PM #769629mike92104ParticipantI’m sure it will shoot up again at 4:20 p.m.
January 9, 2014 at 3:18 PM #769633XBoxBoyParticipantBesides PHOT what other weed stocks are there?

There’s MJNA but it seems dicey. What about companies that make supplies like grow lamps, etc.? Amusingly enough, there’s POT, which is only tangentially related.

I’m out of the loop on this stuff, but do we have legal “recreational” shops??? How does that work?

Colorado now has legalized pot for recreational use. So in Colorado there are now legal “recreational” shops. Not so in California. Least not yet.

Looks like 20% movement for today was right. Unfortunately is was down another 20% to .19/sh

Meh it’s like 3000 shares. I think I can afford it if it goes to $0….
January 10, 2014 at 8:32 AM #769666scaredyclassicParticipantColorado legalizing before CA. Truly embarrassing … CA is out of it.
January 10, 2014 at 9:33 AM #769667spdrunParticipant^^^
California has strong cops’ and jailers’ unions with lobbyists, CO less so.
BTW: When I saw the title, I thought that the thread would be about hoarding marijuana in preparation for the zombie apocalypse. Got to have something to calm the angry zombies down — then again, hungry zombies may not be ideal either.
January 10, 2014 at 9:59 AM #769669livinincaliParticipantA good investment would have been to buy weed here in CA and drive it to CO. Prices in CO are crazy high while there’s a temporary shortage.

Thanks for the clarification. I was reading it as California having “recreational” shops.
