I finally got the engine light off, I just hope long enough to get it through emissions.
Reading through the description, doesn’t mention of there is a Linux interface (non Android). Since you currently have the product, is there any Win7, Win8 restriction? (many drivers that work with earlier OS(s) don’t want to work on Win7 or Win8)

The hardware box is just hardware. The only known software to work with it is any android device with the entire android framework (you won’t get it to run on plain linux)…..
If you need to run on a desktop, you could try running VMWare and then inside VMWare, run a x86 port of android, assuming the bluetooth works in the virtualized O/S…
There is also a wifi version, though I haven’t tried it that works with iOS if you need iOS support.
