    seems like most maybe all of us are at panel no. 8.

    i like the way the little tiny carrying clown is exclaiming “A man of means” witha sort of pained expression on his face. it was the mello roos calculations on another thread that called this strip to mind. Not that I am not the guy in panel no. 8. I am the guy in panel no. 8. it is definitely not getting better in the later panels. Seems liek the best move is to go back several panels. maybe that’s why people get divorced? Hoping to move back a panel?

    THe best move is not to go back several panels but to get off the script all together….if you don’t like the route depicted…too late?

    I remember being younger and not giving one single thought to money.

    I remember thinking it hilarious when I first saw Money magazine. Like, what’s that? Money–just get it and spend it! Maybe save a bit, maybe.

    THe second half of my life has been much better than the first. I am pretty sure that will be true at the end too.

    But if you’re in panel 8, the panel 6 action has probably slowed down an awful lot because of panel 7.

    And yes, this site is very much about those of us in panel 8. Doesn’t bode well for what comes next, does it?
