Did I accidentally click on http://www.anorexicpr0n.com?
August 29, 2013 at 11:52 PM #764904scaredyclassicParticipanti put a link there to kind of buffer the shock…
nope. i’m definitely still safely in the lower middle of the BMI chart. I’d need to lose another 10 lbs to get into the “underweight” category. and i don’t think i can really get any ab definition without another 5 lb loss…
my weightlifting routine has kind of morphed into the “eclectic” category. Primarily, I carry 90 lbs of weights up and down stairs as fast as I can; swing heavy steel bars of varying weights around in odd ways to simulate work witha sledgehammer, a shovel, other implements…. front squat with sandbags; and do lots and lots of pullups and dips.
August 30, 2013 at 7:21 AM #764905scaredyclassicParticipantthis would be more the anorexic look….
interesting sidenote; many years of cycling and runing and i still had high triglycerides and not enough “good” cholesterol. weightlifting the last two years slashed the triglycerides and greatly increased the good cholesterol. weird…diet oved toward a lot of powdered protein and water,,,also “raw meal”, powdered plant protein product…

August 30, 2013 at 9:00 AM #764915bearishgurlParticipantIf that is you, scaredy, I think you look GREAT despite very tiny “love handles” 🙂
WOW, very inspirational, given the relatively short time you’ve been bodybuilding! I’m sort a “gym rat” myself but, of course, I don’t lift as heavy of free weights as you do or with as many reps.
I think I could also stand to lose ten but that depends on whom you ask :=0
I don’t think I could do the protein-powder thing on a regular basis because I don’t like it so much. I would have to spike it with something else.
CONGRATS!!
August 30, 2013 at 11:29 AM #764938scaredyclassicParticipantActually I’ve been lifting almost 2 years, but it’s been ramping up.
If only Carlos danger had focused above the waist the political fallout would’ve been less.
I don’t think those are love handles, I have strangely large and strong obliques.

Thanks for clarifying that, scaredy!

Yeah, but it’s pretty much a DIY job. Can’t hire anyone else to do the work. Labor trumps capital.
August 30, 2013 at 11:41 AM #764943scaredyclassicParticipantI’m not done. I want those abs in high relief.
Similar urge to women getting plastic surgery but it’s free.

Very true. I love it!

There is no such thing as oblique muscles.
August 30, 2013 at 3:29 PM #764962scaredyclassicParticipant?
Internal and external obliques are I think two muscles. Wikipedia agrees. But I’m actually referring to the outer muscle traverse abdominis.
That outer muscle atop the hip bone by the side. Mine is larger than expected. I also have disproportionately large and finely tuned knees. The remainder is unimpressive.
