Jeff Muehl is a great dentist and most importantly, ethical. Been going to him for 6 years. He’s never tried to upsell me, just presented my options. He takes the time to communicate and I never feel like I’m going through the dentist drive thru like I have with past dentists.

We go to Optique, 12880 Carmel Country Rd., 858-350-1302. Fine for optician. Small selection of reasonably-priced glasses; lots of expensive ones. Very nice people who adjust all glasses very professionally, whether or not they were purchased there.
Dentist is in Del Mar: Patricia Murphy, 1410 Camino Del Mar, Suite 120. 858-792-8880. I like her because she has 7am appointments and nice parking right in front of the door. Although they are not cheap, they don’t seem to push unnecessary stuff, like other dentists. They let me keep my yellow teeth without always nagging me to bleach 🙂
For an optometrists I really recommend Dr. Tayman in La Jolla Village area. I have really bad eyes and getting my prescription right is tough. Dr. Tayman is really good at what he does. The front desk staff ain’t so hot, but the doc is the best. They do take VSP. (That’s what I have)
