No :-). I wouldn’t be able to sleep.
November 1, 2011 at 6:33 AM #731833UCGalParticipantNot for that price – but yeah… it’s a nice house in a great location. I don’t freak out as easily as most.
November 1, 2011 at 7:18 AM #731836JoshParticipantI wouldn’t buy any house with a dead child and a murdered naked woman even with 30% off.
November 1, 2011 at 7:31 AM #731839ocrenterParticipantA haunted house can be a great way to generate revenue. Especially ones with a female ghost that can demo how she tied herself up naked and hanged herself. Can you imagine the price the owner can charge per head on halloween?
November 1, 2011 at 7:54 AM #731841scaredyclassicParticipantAbsolutely yes for a discount.
I constantly think about death so it would mesh nicely w my world view.
November 1, 2011 at 10:05 AM #731860briansd1GuestAbsolutely, for the right price.
Any house that’s old enough has had people die in it. Not a big deal.

Who said anything about murdered? Her dead was determined as suicide, she was naked, bounded and then hanged herself…hmmmhhhh!!! You have a point here.
November 1, 2011 at 10:39 PM #731960KIBUParticipantFor those who said yes: every time you hear a strange sound in this house at night, I bet you are going to stop what you are doing and stare at the stair or the balcony. I probably will sleep with my eyes open. If I bump into my wife in the bathroom I think I touched a ghost…
I noticed that the buyer of this house is not a person but a group of investors. Hence my feeling that no sane person could buy it and live in it. Investors probably want to buy it and use it for something else. Maybe they will start a new TV show here.
November 1, 2011 at 11:04 PM #731963briansd1GuestWhen I was young, I spent summer camps in old dark castles in Europe. We slept in centuries old rooms where I’m sure there have been natural deaths and murders. That was kinda spooky. But I’ve never seen any ghosts and I’m not afraid.
November 1, 2011 at 11:16 PM #731964scaredyclassicParticipantIt’s much more likely that zombies will get you than ghosts
November 2, 2011 at 8:01 AM #731976RenParticipantWe bought a suicide house, which was spooky at first, but even now that we know it’s mildly haunted (both of us and three different nannies have independently had experiences), there’s no more fear. Maybe that’s because we no longer feel like it’s “her” house and we’re intruding – she’s now the visitor and we’re allowing her to hang around (pun intended). No regrets.
Would I buy that house? Probably not. One thing I’ve noticed is that regardless of belief in ghosts and regardless of whether a house appears to be haunted or not, you still spend time thinking about the death itself, which I can do without. Almost every time I go in the master closet (where it happened), it crosses my mind. I don’t want that spectre in my “forever” house.
November 2, 2011 at 9:25 AM #731993JoshParticipantMy Mother in law moved to a house she bought 5 years ago and one night she saw the ghosts of lady and a child standing near her bed. She never told any of her children but me. A year ago, one of her sons came to the house for the first time and at night he also saw a lady and a child. I don’t believe in ghost but I don’t believe that my Mother in law and Brother in Law would lie to me about this.

John,
It is clear same jeans and same DNA may persist some times inherriting those feelings. As you mentioned it is Mother and Son, they might have an exact feelings or dreams or fears so that is happened. Well this fact is away from the point about :are there really ghost exist or not?” I will leave to all this topic however many times if same jeans and DNA then their instinct or internall vision matches exactly too.
November 2, 2011 at 12:35 PM #732019afx114ParticipantYes, I’d buy that house. Whatever has happened there in the past has no bearing on what may happen there in the future. However, if it used to be occupied by a unicorn or the Easter Bunny, that’d be a completely different story, because I actually believe in those.
