Also didn’t work out so well for Albertson’s, et al. They lost a lot of business permanently.
We used to spend $500-600 a month at Albertson’s, until the strike. We haven’t shopped there since, and we’re not the only ones. Once you get a new shopping pattern set up, no need to go change it again.

This time people have more non-union options for groceries … Wal-Mart, Target, and even Whole Foods for some of you. Target doesn’t have the greatest produce section and I hate shopping at Wal-Mart with a passion, but times are rough and money is tight and I’ll probably shift some of my business that way.
