    I believe that we have been lucky in San Diego that defense spending during the downturn helped cushion the economy.

    Deep defense cuts would have an adverse effect on the San Diego region. Could we see a repeat of the 1990s?

    I believe as a big city, after Washington DC, we depend most on government spending.

    Does it mean that we should expect housing prices in SD will have a more negative outlook compared to the rest of the country? This combined with possible higher interest rate will lower home prices by another 20%? Great, I just bought a house 4 months ago.
