    I recently submitted an offer to purchase a property under my name. The offer was accepted.

    If, during the escrow process, I want to put the property under a living trust owned by me, what would I have to do ?

    While not an expert the first question I have is are you taking out a loan. If so, I beleive you will have to close taking title under your name. As soon as you close, you can simply do a Quit Claim deed into the living trust. It’s one page and will cost you about $20.

    Just my 2 cents, but if it is all cash then you may be okay. Have you asked the escrow officer? Also if this is the case you need to make sure the grant deed goes to the trust as well. Personally I would simply close it as is and then move it into the trust. That is what I have done with my rentals. Even if it is all cash.
