I was out running a few days and did something to my knee. I thought it would pass in a few days but it hasnt. Ran into a physician friend and when I described what I was going through he said it sounds like a classic case of a torn meniscus. Just wondering if anyone out there has dealt with this?
When I was 20, yes. Arthroscopic surgery is supposed to get you in and out with no hospital stay and back on your feet in a few days.
Like every surgery I have ever had, this one came with significantly more swelling that should have happened. I was out of commission for a couple weeks, but that is supposedly not typical.

the hubster did this 6 months ago. Had the outpatient surgery… was back on his feet almost instantly. He is fine now.
I had a similar surgery for both ligiment and meniscus in college… I had a cast on because of the ligiment damage. But that was a long time ago – so the technology may be cast free, now.
