Hop on the Picadilly Line at Heathrow and take it to the Green Park tube station (this will take about 40 minutes). If you have time to head over to Jermyn Street to buy a few shirts, by all means do so. If not, transfer to the Victoria Line at the Green Park station and go North. The third stop is Euston Station (less than 10 minutes from Green Park) where you can catch the train to Liverpool. The tube portion of the journey shouldn’t be more than about 5 GBP. Enjoy!
(Another option is to take the Picadilly Line to the Leicester Square tube station and change to the Northern Line, go North on the Northern Line and that will also get you to Euston Station. Six of one, half dozen of the other.)

We’ll see how much luggage we end up taking this time, as my wife didn’t want to drag it all through the tube again this trip. If we can minimize the # of suitcases, we may take your advice!
We will also be coming back to spend time in London so we will certainly check out Jermyn Street – thanks for the tip.
(also, meant to say GBP not euros in original post. Had been thinking in euros all day)

March 13, 2011 at 10:25 AM #677223ScarlettParticipantThere are many ways, none direct…
Heathrow express to Paddington then a cab (or another tube) to Euston. Tube will be cheaper though.
National Express Coach is probably cheaper but less comfortable
http://www.londontoolkit.com/travel/heathrow_northernengland_transfer.htmI’ve googled some
http://www.lonelyplanet.com/thorntree/thread.jspa?threadID=1515860Oh, check MEGABUS too.

Megabus from Victoria station seems like a good option too.March 13, 2011 at 10:25 AM #676614ScarlettParticipantThere are many ways, none direct…
