    This one is too funny not to share. We just got off the phone with a Bank of America loss mitigation/short sale negotiator on a property I have listed. We were discussing how much it would cost to settle with them on the 2nd mortgage which is a recourse loan.

    So we asked the guy where he was located and he said AZ. Making small talk I asked how the market was there and he said it sucked. SO of course I asked why he felt that way. He said his condo was worth 50% of what he paid. He said he was underwater so much that he was walking away! So this guy who is trying to squeeze every last penny he can out of my client is walking away from his mortgage himself….too funny!

    I guess it makes sense. His job is to squeeze every penny, not to be nice.

    but I’m sure he sympathizes with your client.

    No but in AZ its not easy getting offers on properties like in SD. Our market is far stronger than theirs
