I don’t know when this mess will catch up to us, but I can’t help but worry that this amount of betting along with the massive amount of sovereign debt will eventually cause a huge financial mess worldwide. The federal government wants to force 401K and IRA’s into treasury bonds. http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=196173 The federal reserve can either sell our debt through treasury auctions to other countries/ entities or it can print new money to finance our debt. Can it be that the fed anticipates a problem selling our debt to other countries and is in need of another source of funds and believes that forcing US citizens’ retirement money into treasury bonds is a good way to sell off its increasingly worthless debt? Do you think that they might not let you sell them easily once they have your money?
