A friend asked me to look at these and figure out the backstory… He was thinking of making an offer. He knows I’m semi-decent at public database diving. It didn’t take much digging to turn up some VERY interesting info. At least if you’re a longtime resident of San Diego.

These are 2 “condos” that are basically twin homes – one common wall, side by side units. The location is 1 block from the beach in Del Mar.

They’re marked contingent – so one assumes they’re short sales.

Plugging in the parcel numbers to the property tax database popped out some VERY familiar names if you’ve been in San Diego county for a while.
APNs: 3000941501 & 3000941502 plug these into the Bill Number field at

Plugging in the names garnered from the prop tax seems to confirm that these properties are at the NOT stage (in foreclosure). It could be the owners have other properties… so it’s not an absolute that these two units are in foreclosure…

Doing a search on fidelityasap.com turns up the 152 10th Street unit with a trustee sale date:

TS Number: 20090134008371
ASAP Number: 3357827
Notice of Sale Amt: $916,969.17
Opening Bid Amt: 0
Sold Amt: 0

I could not find a trustee sale date for 150 10th.

I’ll leave it for curious Piggs to figure out who the owners are and why that info is interesting.
