There are big ticket items that can be looked out without power and water… foundation, roof, structural integrety. A cracked foundation can be very expensive to repair… a bad roof or existing water damage can be very expensive to repair. Minor termite damage – not a big deal… but if it’s effecting the structural integrety… a big deal.
Personally, I’d want to look at the house closely, even if it wasn’t a formal inspection, before buying.
Unless the price is such that even if it’s a tear down it makes sense…. That’s a different thing.
