Now that summer has finally arrived in San Diego (at least in UTC) I’m finding myself having to leave the windows open at night in my apartment. The only problem is that the outside noise from cars/people will occasionally wake me up if I leave the window open with a fan blowing.
Does anyone know if there is such thing as a fan with an intake hose that can be connected to a window? My thinking is that I could hook it up to the window and seal all everywhere else except where the hose is taking in air and just leave the fan on a low setting. That way I would still get the cool air from outside but would block off as much noise as possible.
Or if anyone has other ideas as how to solve this problem I would be interested in hearing about them.
BTW, I do have a portable air conditioner that I use when it gets really hot, but I prefer to use it only when absolutely necessary, if I can get by with a fan only then that is preferred.
