ParticipantI’m a newbie, so I don’t know. I did like the Ghost Pines Merlot that was recommended on the other thread. I was hoping for general recommendations for everyone.

ParticipantHere’s a good tip. Find wine shops that do tastings on Friday or Saturdays. Try this one out

SD Wine Company has the best prices in town. The tend to have mostly good wines at moderate prices. Not too much higher end wine but a great place to learn what you like and try new things. Its where I got started about 12 years ago. You can go there on a Saturday afternoon and taste 5 to 10 wines for $10. There are others I could send you to but this would be a great start.
