When we looked at homes several years ago, there always seemed to be a premium for easy trolley or coaster access. Not sure if that premium will hold true for Bay Park and UTC.
There are public meetings about the trolley project. The next one is this Thursday:

From the link posted by dataagent – here’s the potential routes.
IMO the best route it the yellow one – since it uses existing tracks (or right of ways) for most of the route. As a taxpayer, lets keep the costs as low as possible.
The path through Clairemont looks pretty straightforward – folks in Bay Ho/Bay Park are already used to MORE noise from freeway, train, etc. There’s only divergence on the paths north of 52.
Like I said – I live in the area and think it’s awesome!

May 18, 2010 at 1:04 PM #551317briansd1GuestI’m in support of public mass transit so I think that it’s great.
UTC needs a trolley to serve the university. I know that students who don’t have cars would love it.
People who want quiet and isolation might feel differently.
