Poway is one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the county. You have very rural places that are very cool like High Valley… you have multi million dollar homes off of Old Coach. You have low income housing, you have cool places like Sunrise Ranch. You have Arbolitos, you have pretty shabby areas as well. You need to specify what you are looking for, price range, size of home, etc to narrow down the spectrum.

Rent something in Poway and get a feel for it. Scripps Ranch and Escondido and Rancho Bernardo/penesquitos border Poway and you may end up liking those areas better than others. Infact if the reason your looking is off Scripps Poway parkway, you may actually be closer to Scripps or Rancho Bernardo than alot of Poway.
