One thing about women I found is that your need to put your foot down early.
Never let emotional irrational whining win the day. Always immediately end the conversation when anything irrational is spoken.
It may be too late for you.
How about telling her that if she wants to buy a house, she can pay for it herself?
BTW it starts during the dating process. Here is an example. My brother’s gf is “jealous” she wants to know where he goes; and she want to see his cell phone to see who he talks to. I told him to simply say “It’s rude to be nosy and it’s none of your business. Don’t ever ask me this question again.”
