    I’m passing along this video. It’s an hour and a half, but I found it very interesting and educational. Towards the end, he goes into the reasons why the government allows the use of sugar, HFCS, etc. to continue (of course, monetary, the one thing we export besides tobacco)
    He goes into great detail how it all gets processed through the liver and the effects therefrom.

    Sugar: The Bitter Truth Robert H. Lustig, MD, UCSF Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Endocrinology, explores the damage caused by sugary foods. He argues that fructose (too much) and fiber (not enough) appear to be cornerstones of the obesity epidemic through their effects on insulin.

    It goes without saying that processed sugar is detrimental to health.

    I personally don’t want regulation but education.

    If people choose to eat the junk and be unhealthy, that’s their business and their own damn fault.
