Since late May 2007. I felt something big was about to happen, and started to scour the internet for good real information sources. I was shocked and pleased to find a whole little group of people expressing ideas I thought only I had.

May 13, 2009 at 5:21 PM #398386XBoxBoyParticipantI first lurked here in late 2004 (around november) I continued to lurk for probably two to three years, occasionally going away for months at a time because I found the site pessimistic with all it’s housing collapse predictions and I was afraid it was coloring my already pessimistic view. But even when I went away my pessimistic view stuck with me, so I kept coming back checking in. Only after a long time of lurking did I bother to post.
Funny when I think back about it, how it was a quack site when I first found it, and now it seems down right mainstream in comparison.

Anyway, thanks to everyone for all the interesting postings over the years, most of all Rich of course.
I’ve been a “proper” member since, well, today. Not sure why that took so long!
