    This is a spin off from “OT: How did you get your Pigg log in name?” So, how long have you been a member of Pigg?

    Let me start off. Been posting for 3 years 20 weeks. Been probably lurking at least 1/2 a year to a year before that. I remember when there were no posting and since Rich can’t post new article ever 20 minutes, I was browsing many other bubble sites back then but only patrick.net had posting. However, it wasn’t SD specific, so I lost interest pretty quickly.

    Since late May 2007. I felt something big was about to happen, and started to scour the internet for good real information sources. I was shocked and pleased to find a whole little group of people expressing ideas I thought only I had.

    I first lurked here in late 2004 (around november) I continued to lurk for probably two to three years, occasionally going away for months at a time because I found the site pessimistic with all it’s housing collapse predictions and I was afraid it was coloring my already pessimistic view. But even when I went away my pessimistic view stuck with me, so I kept coming back checking in. Only after a long time of lurking did I bother to post.

    Funny when I think back about it, how it was a quack site when I first found it, and now it seems down right mainstream in comparison.

    I’ve been lurking here since whenever Rich was still charging for the full content. Not even sure how long ago that was…..I find it hard to imagine a world without a housing bubble, we’ve all been knee-deep in this for such a long time.

    Anyway, thanks to everyone for all the interesting postings over the years, most of all Rich of course.

    I’ve been a “proper” member since, well, today. Not sure why that took so long!
