    I have auto insurance with Wawanesa and I am looking to buy homeowners insurance from them too for a townhome. Has anyone had experience with Wawanesa for Homeowners insurance? How is their fire insuarnce. Does any one have experience with them regarding fire claims??

    Any recommendations on which are good companies to buy in terms of the fire coverage?

    Wawanesa was great for years. Had auto only with them, but after fires, I wanted umbrella policy. Wawa did not offer so we went with CSAA.

    When I had my place in Carmel Valley, I wanted to use Wawanesa since I had them for auto, but they would not insure my house b/c I backed a canyon. That was another lifetime ago, so their policies may have changed and may be less restrictive. Not sure. That was just my experience.

    When I had my place in Carmel Valley, I wanted to use Wawanesa since I had them for auto, but they would not insure my house b/c I backed a canyon. That was another lifetime ago, so their policies may have changed and may be less restrictive. Not sure. That was just my experience.

    Just tried to get Fire from Wawanesa this week.
    Tried to insure a house in Aviara, they said there were too many trees in the area. They are pretty strict..

    I have them for auto which is pretty good, but will jump ship if I can get a better package deal at another company.
