What is the best form to get the commission rebate from my broker to avoid taxes? He is proposing to pay 20% towards escrow. is that a good approach? I have heard people getting gift cards instead to avoid taxes? Any insights ont his will be very helpful to me. thanks

I’m interested in this too. It is our agent who is doing the split (vs. broker) if that makes a difference.
