I wanted to thank everyone who contributes to this site. The information I mined over the last 12 months here really helped in our new home purchase.
I felt that in a declining market we had a great window of opportunity to upgrade to a nicer house. It was a pure mathematical calculation and I knew we needed to jump through that window. We had great equity as we never used the house as a cash machine, great credit, stable jobs, etc.
We put our existing home for sell in January. It was beautifully staged, agressively priced, and we were in escrow 7 days later above our asking price.
We were pinpointed in to purchase at Stonebridge Estates. I had researched the pricing, drove the area, etc. before and felt that I was informed via this site along with other resources to make a good decision.
We just closed and moved in to a new house at Scripps Preserve. For us it is a dream home and fulfills many of our needs & desires in a house that we will stay in for many years to come. Great living space, huge yard, ocean view, etc.
