A Carmel Valley woman walking from her car into her home was approached by a man who ultimately tied her up and robbed her.

San Diego police are looking for a man seen walking in the neighborhood of 10529 Whispering Hills Lane Tuesday around 11 a.m.
A woman called police reporting a man wearing jeans and a gray, zipped sweat shirt and ball cap, approached her as she was walking from her car into the home.
The woman had closed the automatic garage door and the suspect slipped under the door before it closed, holding a knife.
The man demanded she get into a position so that he could tie her up in the garge. He then demanded the code for the home’s alarm system, according to police.
The suspect left with a set of keys to the car and the house. Officers are unsure if he left with any other property. They believe he may have been frustrated during his search of the home.

After he left the house, the woman was able to get loose and call police for help.
The victim told police she saw the man walking on the sidewalke near her home when she pulled up in her car. It’s not clear if the man was on foot or if he had a car nearby.
