I keep wondering how the SoCal economy will keep doing. I think it is alot better than the ‘former’ industrial states of the upper midwest, but better doesnt mean good.
In another article I read about this it said that the “under-employment” rate was over 10%, including all those who stopped looking for jobs or those who are part time but want full time. Highest since 1994.Hey Nos, any more company insider info on this?

*Seeing a plethora of resumes from NextWave, I’ve learned they’ve been laying off folks in masses.
*A wireless company with an office in Rancho Bernardo desperately needs to find a customer for their WCDMA chip designed here in S.D…..or else….
*A large S.D. wireless company has a hiring freeze in effect (recent).
Anyone want to confirm or deny these rumors?

And very misleading and thus highly inaccurate! Studying payroll numbers is probably a lot better measure of reality.
I would not doubt that real unemployment is closer to 10%.
Then go look up unemployment in the last couple of recessions…1980 to 1985, 1990 to 1995.My 2 cents.
